South Cheshire College - Online Enrolment

The Challenge
At the start of every college year, new students could take up to 3 hours to enrol in South Cheshire College. Each student had to go through multiple queues for the various processes of enrolment in order to complete the entire process and be fully admitted to the college. All enrolment forms were handwritten, and then manually entered by administrative staff. This process was cumbersome, time consuming and unreliable. Data needed to be confirmed and at times illegibility of the forms would cause delay. South Cheshire College needed a solution that could expedite this arduous enrolment process and reduce the queuing and delivery time.

The Solution
The College deployed CampusIT QuercusPlus in two-stages:

1. Scanning of enrolment forms; followed by
2. Full online enrolment.

The college achieved greater student satisfaction and better experience, and higher performance support to staff and faculty. Initially Online Enrolment was piloted for part–time courses. Management at South Cheshire College expected £3–4K to be taken in enrolment fees but instead received £25K over a brief period. The enrolment process that could previously take up to 3 hour, now takes less than 10 minutes with QuercusPlus Online Enrolment.
