The Challenge
The University of Glamorgan's in-house legacy systems for managing courses, staff and students were disparate, time consuming, fraught with problems and resource-intensive. Conscious of increasing student expectations, the rise of initiatives such as e-learning, and the reporting needs of external agencies like HEFCW and HESA, the University decided to take a unified, integrated approach to implementing new business processes.


The Solution
The University migrated from its traditional approach to a more process-centric way of managing the University as a business. Leveraging CampusIT's QuercusPlus Student Management System, deployed by a team of consultants, the University has put in place a new infrastructure for delivering Student Relationship Management. Significant improvements have been made, including a reduction in cycle time from data creation to management information, and the seamless and simple reporting across the academic years.
